Abstract
Foresters’ classification is helpful to understanding their nature behavior. It is of important meaning to master the nature and difference of production and business decision of foresters’ underwood planting, which could further sort decision-making mechanism of forests’ behavior, improve the efficiency of rural public policy and promote the supply-side structural reform of underwood planting products. Combining the results of literature review on the classification of householders’ type and based on multi-objective production behavior under different demand preferences, this paper classified the types of foresters. It measured and described the multi-objective behavior of foresters from four dimensions—profit maximization, labor input minimization, risk aversion and self-social value realization. Then it classified the foresters into three types—survival pressure, profit-seeking and social value balance by way of clustering analysis method. At last, it summarized the characteristics of all kinds of foresters.
