Analysis of current situation and competitiveness of agricultural products trade between China and Thailand

The trade of agricultural products plays an important role in bilateral trade in China，and agricultural trade will play an important role in the implementation of the strategy of“ one belt one way”. Thailand，as an important agricultural trade country in ASEAN，needs to further promote the development of bilateral trade between China and Thailand. This paper makes a quantitative analysis of current situation and competitiveness of agricultural trade between China and Thailand. It is found that the trade of agricultural products in China and Thailand is closely linked，and the tightness of trade in Thailand’s agricultural products to China is higher than that of China. Thailand’s agricultural products in the world trade has a higher displayed comparative advantage，and Chinese agricultural products in the world trade in the market share is significantly higher than Thai land’s agricultural products. In general，the world trade of Chinese agricultural products is similar to that of Thailand. China and Thailand have strong competition in international trade in agricultural products. This paper points out the direction for the development of agricultural trade between China and Thailand.
