Abstract: This paper aiming at the development prospect of cassava field mechanization，described the biologicalcharacters of cassava and it’s mechanized utilization status in the process of planting，cultivating，harvesting andreturning shattered cassava stalks into field. Several kinds of typical cassava planter，cultivator，harvester and cassavastalk powder returning machine were introduced emphatically，their work modes，efficiency and adaptability werealso discussed. Aiming at the problems existing in the mechanization for cassava，the article put forward some relativedeveloping suggestions to provide reference for the study of cassava field mechanization.
