Abstract: The seed quality, proper storage conditions and seedling growth characters of 9 Toona sinensis provenances in Guangxi were studied. The results showed that there were significant differences between the main indicators of seed quality. The moisture content,germination percentage and germination potential of Toona sinensis seed showed a downward trend as the storage time extends in every temperature and ideal storage temperature was -17℃, we preliminarily concluded that the seed safety moisture content was 10%. There were significant differences between the height of seedling and diameter of root-shoot of difference provenances (40-day-old seedling),and the height of seedling and diameter of root-shoot were positive correlated. The seeds from Jingxi, Longan and Yangshuo were better in quality through comprehensive evaluation.
