Abstract: To evaluate the industrial availability of cured tobacco leaves of five flue-cured tobacco varieties in Zhaotong of Yunnan，screen out the unique flue-cured tobacco varieties that could adapt to ecological condition characteristics of Zhaotong of Yunnan，and improve the tobacco leaf quality of this region，using K326，the local main cultivar，as control，field plot experiment were carried out to compare the differences of KRK26，NC71，PVH1452， Yunyan110. The appearance quality，physical characteristics，chemical components and sensory quality of the cured tobacco leaves of the five flue-cured tobacco varieties were analyzed. The results indicated that，compared with K326， Yunyan110 and NC71 showed stronger industrial availability，they had appropriate chemical composition content， better physical properties，appearance quality and sensory smoking quality，and particularly，Yunyan110 had excellent performance among those varieties. The performances of PVH1452 and KRK26 were general in all aspects and they were worse than K326 in industrial availability.
