Abstract: Based on the development status of tobacco industry at home and abroad，this paper analyzed the situation and pointed out the science and technology status of tobacco industry in Guangdong in 2013，then the key technologies to solve the problems in this industry were pointed out. Suggestions were proposed from the aspects of production scale，construction of cooperatives，operating level，team building，brand building，and safeguard mechanism. All these suggestions would provide references for promoting the sustainable development of tobacco industry in Guangdong province under the new situations.
