Abstract: Vegetables maintained a good momentum of development in Guangdong province in 2013, the planting area was 1.307 million hm2, planting benefit also increased. The production area layout of Guangdong vegetable mainly concentrated in the pearl river delta region, the total output accounted for 38% of the province. But there were still some problems, including large price fluctuations, shortage of technical personnel, unstable base. From the aspects of production, regional distribution, import and export, market supply and price dynamics of vegetable, this article analyzed the development situation of vegetable industry in 2013 in Guangdong province, and put forward some countermeasures, including strengthening the construction of market circulation system of vegetable industry on the base of regional development planning, building vegetable safety supervision system, strengthening the research and development of science and technology, perfecting the vegetable technical support system, strengthening the construction of processing and circulation system, improving the level of industrialization production, in order to promote the sustainable development of vegetable industry of Guangdong.
