Abstract: In 2013，the planting area of sweet-potato was 288 100 hm2 in Guangdong，near to the area of 2012，wasthe third major crops in Guangdong province，accounting for 10.82% of the grain planting；the production of sweet-potatowas 1 424 300 t，accounting for 11.49% of the total grain output；the exports reached 93 200 t. In 2014，Guangdong’ssweet-potato had stable supply and demand，its price rose. Sweet-potato in 2015 is expected to remain relatively stablesupply and demand balance，and the price has certain space of increase. This article analyzed the development of scienceand technology of sweet potato industry，and put forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions.
