Abstract:
The serum neutralizing antibody titer reflects the ability of serum neutralization on virus infection. It isan important index for vaccine evaluation. In this study,the O type FMDV of 120 serum samples collected from threedomestic large-scale pig farms were detected by ELISA and VNT, and the coincidence rates and positive detectionrate of the two methods were compared. The results showed that with the two methods,the positive coincidence ratesand negative coincidence rates were 77.3% and 72.2%,the total coincidence rate was 75%. Both of the methods couldeffectively detect FMD antibody level in serum of pigs. However,there was a certain proportion of false positive or falsenegative results by indirect ELISA. NT was more suitable for FMD serological monitoring and survey.
