Abstract:
Fish spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) are the initiating cells of fish spermatogenesis, have the ability of self-renewal and differentiation potential. As the cell model, fish SSCs become an important tool for the researches on stem cell biology, genetic resources conservation and reproduction of transgenic animals. This article reviewed advances in the biological properties, culture, identification, differentiative potential, transplantation and cryopreservation of fish SSCs, to provide references for SSCs studies.
