Abstract: Five main modes formed in the development of national modern agricultural demonstration zones are summarized through investigation and analysis. They are mode driven by grain production in major grain producing areas, mode driven by financial services, mode driven by leading enterprises, mode driven by business capital, and mode driven by characteristic collective economy. Based on the analysis on the main procedures, the distinguishing features and the achievements of the five modes, experience and countermrasures are drawn for the development of modern agriculture in other similar areas, to speed up the development of national modern agricultural demonstration zones.
