Abstract: The research achievements and current situation of bulk cuing barn in Guangdong were reviewed by summarizing the typical bulk curing barns, the forms of consumed energy, the types of loading tobacco and the curing techniques. The further research direction to improve the quality of tobacco bulk curing were discussed, including reducing the cost of bulkcuring barns, improving the level of automation, applying the solar energy and biomass energy, defining the mechanism of bulk curing and optimizing the technology for bulk curing.
