Abstract: A steady supply of leafy vegetable concerns to the city vegetable price. In South China, high temperature, bright sunshine, concentrate rainfall are the characteristics of summer and autumn. It is difficult to grow leafy vegetable in the outside, because of the diseases and insect pests, as well as the bad weather. Low yield and high pesticide residues severely limited the continuous production, quality safety and market supply of leafy vegetable. In order to change the situation, the rain proof shelter was introduced for leafy vegetable growth healthy in summer and autumn, which could proof rain and freely ventilated. It was detailed the rain proof shelter on the performance, effect of leafy vegetables production, as well the efficient cultivation techniques and investment analysis. The result showed rain proof shelter provided a less investment and quick effect model for leafy vegetables production.
