Abstract: In order to study new cultivated land utilization and quality of Huazhou, new arable land utilization and quality was in survey research, which was reclaimed in recent years in Huazhou. The results showed that, 1 135.38 hm2 new arable land was reclaimed between 2009 and 2011 in the area, mainly distributed in the gentle slope terraces or on the hilly slopes, had complete infrastructure, and had a higher degree of utilization. The average natural quality，utilization quality and economic quality classification of new arable land were 14.7, 10.4 and 5.7. Compared to the surrounding dry slope land, the average natural quality was higher by 0.9 classification, the utilization quality was higher by 1.2 classification, and the economic quality was also higher by 1.2 classification.
