Abstract: Using field survey and laboratory soil analysis, the effect of VT decomposing agent on straw decomposition rate and soil organic of Huaiji was studied, to improve soil organic content. The field experimental results showed that, after application of VT decomposing agent,straw decomposition level in the decomposing prophase was superior to conventional straw returning. Application of VT decomposing agent could effectively increase the cushioning effect of soil pH. The content of organic matter, available potassium and slow-available potassium were significantly increased than CK, but total potassium and available phosphorus content decreased compared with CK. There was significant difference in the total phosphorus content between application of VT decomposing agent and CK; VT decomposing agent could speed up the straw decomposing speed, improve soil organic matter content.
