Abstract: The earthworm is an important living beings in soil, it has the characteristic of promoting the transformation of the matter,especially for the decomposition of organic matter and adsorption of heavy metal. Eearthworms can be more widely applied to environmental pollution control and resource processing. Various soild waste treatment methods by using earthworm were summarized, and function and effect of earthworm on resource utilization of solid waste as well as remediation of soil contaminated with earthworm were introduced. And the future research direction was given.
