Abstract: Fengnongzhan is a new indica inbred rice which developed through pedigree selection from the crossing of Guifengzhan5- 2/Guinongzhan by Institute of Zhanjiang Agricultural Science Rresearch. It has been examined by the preliminary test, the regional trials and the production test in late cropping seasons from 2009 to 2011, respectively. Fengnongzhan is registered and released in Guangdong Province in January of 2013, and it can be planted for early or late cropping season in Guangdong except for Yuebei district.
