中国南瓜育种研究进展

    Research Progress of Pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata) Breeding

    • 摘要: 南瓜为葫芦科南瓜属草本植物,起源于美洲大陆,是一类重要的园艺蔬菜作物,在我国种植历史悠久且栽培面积广泛,是世界南瓜生产与消费第一大国,有较好的经济效益。我国南瓜主要有3个栽培种被大面积种植,分别为中国南瓜、印度南瓜和美洲南瓜,其中中国南瓜的种植面积最大、产量最高,肉用中国南瓜包括食用嫩瓜型和食用老瓜型。近5年来,我国南瓜研究者围绕中国南瓜产业发展新需求开展了系列工作,在基础研究、育种技术以及新品种选育等方面都取得了一定进展。从中国南瓜重要性状功能基因定位、克隆及分子机理研究、品质性状评价指标及检测技术研究、单倍体、种间杂交等育种技术研究、新品种选育等方面综述了过去5年我国南瓜研究者取得的最新进展,分析了中国南瓜育种技术和理论研究方面目前存在的不足和关键难点,并对未来育种工作进行展望,提出未来育种研究的重点方向,为中国南瓜育种及产业高质量发展提供参考。

       

      Abstract: Pumpkin, an herbaceous plant belonging to the genus Cucurbita, originated from the American Continent, is an important kind of horticultural vegetable crop. With a long history of planting and large cultivation in China, the largest pumpkin production and consumption country in the world, it has good economic benefits. In China, three main pumpkin species are planted in a large area, namely, Cucurbita moschata, C. maxima and C. pepo, among which C. moschata (including edible young fruit type and mature fruit type) has the highest planting area and yield. In the past five years, researchers in China have carried out a series of work based on the new demands of the development of pumpkin industry, and the basic research, breeding techniques and new varieties breeding of pumpkin have developed rapidly. This paper summarizes the latest progress made in the past five years from the aspects of researches on pumpkin functional gene mapping, cloning of important agronomic traits and their molecular mechanisms, the evaluation index and testing technology of quality traits, breeding techniques such as haploid and interspecific hybridization, and new variety breeding. It also analyzes the existing problems in breeding techniques and theoretical research and prospects the future breeding work. We put forward the key direction of future breeding research, with a view to providing references for pumpkin breeding and high-quality development of pumpkin industry.
