10 种中草药抗氧化活性的比较研究

    Comparative study on antioxidant activity of 10 Chinese herbal medicines

    • 摘要: 以市售的虎杖、黄芩、夏枯草、女贞子、黄花蒿、续断、苦参、白芍、莪术和姜黄为研究对象,蒸馏水为提取溶剂,比较研究10种中草药的抗氧化活性。通过FRAP铁离子还原法、DPPH自由基清除法和FC福林酚法测定试样的总抗氧化能力、自由基清除能力及总酚含量,综合研究其抗氧化活性。结果表明,虎杖、黄芩、夏枯草和女贞子的总抗氧化能力FeSO4当量均大于1.8 mmol/L,自由基清除率超过70%,总酚含量均大于2.8 μg/mL,抗氧化能力相对较强,可能与其清热功效有关,其药用价值和保健功能值得关注;黄花蒿、续断、苦参、白芍、莪术和姜黄也表现出一定的抗氧化能力,但作用较弱。相关性分析结果显示,FRAP,DPPH和FC法3种方法间均呈显著正相关,进一步证实多酚类次生代谢物质是试样水提液自由基清除能力及抗氧化能力的重要作用因素。

       

      Abstract: Ten commonly-used Chinese Herbal Medicines were investigated for their antioxidant properties of aqueous extracts using DPPH radical scavenging capacity assay, ferric reducing antioxidant potential (FRAP) assay, and Folin-Ciocalteu (FC) method. Antioxidant properties and total phenolic content differed significantly among selected Chinese Herbal Medicines. It was found that Polygonum Cuspidatum Sieb, Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi, Prunella vulgaris L, Ligustrum lucidum Ait of aqueous extracts possessed the highest antioxidant capacities in three methods used, which may be related to its heat-clearing effect and could be potential rich sources of natural antioxidants. These extracts showed a strong ferric ion reducing activities ( > 1.8 mmol/L), a high antioxidant capacity ( > 70% of DPPH inhibition), and a high phenolic content ( > 2.8 μg/mL). A significant relationship between antioxidant capacity and total phenolic content was found, indicating that phenolic compounds are the major contributors to the antioxidant properties of these ten Chinese Herbal Medicines.
