Abstract: Agricultural industry-university-research（ IUR） cooperation is the key point of promoting local economic development with agricultural creativity and technology，which is also an effective way to improve the implementation of agricultural supply side structural reform. With the policy supports Dongguan’s agruultural urban IUR have series of achievement，including adequate amount of research and development institutions， well-structured researchers，and the foundations of attached financial assistance and industrial base. However， agricultural IUR is facing the complicated and variable challenges，due to inherent characters of farming skills and the changing policies. Therefore，this article referred to Dongguan’s actual situation and the background of modern agricultural transformation and upgrade，provided some suggestions for future development from the aspects of financial assistance，policy support，platform-founding，and talents-attracting.
